Sr Property Accountant
Mid-Peninsula Housing is a non-profit organization that develops high-quality affordable housing communities, professionally manages the properties in those communities, and provides services to residents. Our three affiliated corporations are Mid-Peninsula Housing Coalition, Mid-Peninsula Housing Management Corporation and Mid-Peninsula Housing Services Corporation. Mid-Peninsula has experienced tremendous growth and has recently converted to MRI enterprise software to provide sustainable support for continued growth.
Position Requirements:
• Prepare monthly financial statements with complete supporting schedules
• Maintain fixed assets sub-ledger and book monthly deprecation entry
• Provide monthly variance reports for assigned portfolio of properties
• Support annual audit process for assigned portfolio of properties
• Perform intercompany account reconciliations
• Assist in special projects and financial analysis as assigned
• Familiarity with or ability to understand application of US-GAAP
Educational Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with 2+ years of general accounting experience
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in MS Excel & MS Word required
• MRI software experience a plus
• CPA-hopefuls a plus
• Must be highly detail-oriented and organized
• Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities
• Ability to multi-task and work independently
