Digital Humanities Summer Internship Symposium

At CESTA, undergraduate researchers spend ten weeks doing the kind of humanities work that didn't exist a decade ago: using AI, data science, and computational methods to open up questions about culture, history, and society. This summer's 26 interns worked alongside faculty and graduate mentors across fourteen project teams, and the range is striking, from video games to the spatial analysis of farmland in colonial South Africa to recovering women scholars and authors long buried in twentieth-century correspondence networks.
