We are two females in our mid-20s looking for someone to occupy the den area of our two-bedroom, two-bathroom apartment. The den area, while it now has no doors, was previously a bedroom and has a closet and a patio. We’re open to dividers, shades, curtains—anything to help you feel comfortable. The den area is a well-lit, large space with six bookshelves built in to the wall. Our large apartment also has a living room, so there’s plenty of common living space. The person living in the den would share a bathroom, and plenty of street parking is available. The room is available now.
More about the place: It’s a 5-minute bike ride to Stanford, downtown Palo Alto, and downtown Menlo Park. It’s also close to Burgess Park and Arrillaga Family Recreation Center.
Our apartment is a huge upstairs unit with lots of light and storage space. It includes a spacious living room, dining room, large balcony overlooking a pool and hot tub, and an in-unit washer and dryer. The living room has a fireplace, and the kitchen has granite countertops and a dishwasher. The rent for this bedroom (including water, garbage, and gas) is $1,000/month, and the lease is for 1 year.
About us: One roommate is a Stanford PhD student and has a medium-sized dog, and the other works full-time in communications at Stanford. We keep a clean house. We’re pretty chill and enjoy going out or staying in and having wine and movie nights.
Requirements: We prefer a female roommate who has a reliable source of funds and good credit. You are comfortable around dogs, but have no pets of your own (sorry, our landlord won't allow any additional pets). You're a non-smoker and don't do drugs.
If you think you might be a good fit, please reply and tell us about yourself (background, occupation, interests, etc.), and maybe we can arrange a time to meet.
