We have 1 bedroom available in our 3 bedroom/2.5 bath loft apartment in the Dogpatch. The apartment is 3 levels and is on the top floor of the building. It features an updated kitchen with a dishwasher, concrete flooring, and an open concept living room with an electric fireplace and lots of natural sunlight. The apartment is centrally located in the Dogpatch within walking distance to UCSF Mission Bay, 22nd Street Caltrain, 3rd Street Light Rail, and lots of restaurants, breweries, and shops. There is coin-op laundry in the building, garage parking with storage available for a fee ($250), and ample permitted street parking in the area. The common areas are fully furnished. The bedroom comes unfurnished.
The room:
Measures 22x7'8 at the most narrow and 22x8'10 at the wider portion, easily fitting a queen bed. It has concrete flooring, a mounted wall heater, large closet, lots of natural sunlight, and a sliding door to its own private balcony. It is located on the 1st floor of the apartment, sharing this level with 1 other bedroom and 1 bathroom. Additionally this level has its own separate entrance.
The roommates:
M is a 34 year old female social worker employed at Stanford. She works a fairly typical work week and is up early and out of the house during the week. She is fairly active, loves to hike, camp, and take weekend trips, but also enjoys spending time at home. She is very social, enjoys sharing a glass of wine, and hosting the occasional dinner party. She is environmentally conscious and is aiming towards being as close to zero waste as possible. M lives in the loft bedroom.
S is a 31 year old female working as a designer in SF. She is usually early to bed and early to rise and is often out of the house on weekends. She is an outdoor enthusiast, major foodie, and an avid world traveler. She is very quiet, respectful, and extremely clean. S lives on the 1st floor and shares a bathroom with the available room.
A little about you:
Ideally close to our age, mature, responsible, friendly, and able to communicate effectively. We want the space to feel like home, and although often busy, we try to connect at least once a month for a roommate dinner. We are both extremely clean in the common areas (we are talking no dishes left in the sink and wiping out the sink drain after use!) and are looking for someone who is invested in caring for the space and belongings in it. Additionally we compost/recycle and use all natural cleaning products, so ideally you are invested in this as well. Bonus points for someone who is social justice minded. Must have stable and reliable income, good credit, and a clean rental history.
Details:
The room is available November 1st with flexibility regarding move-in date. Lease is month to month, although we prefer someone who is interested in staying for awhile. Water and garbage are included, other utilities are split evenly (approx $100 a month including monthly cleaners for the common spaces, pg&e, and wifi) - we do not have cable and kinda like it that way. Rent is $1660, deposit is $2490 (1.5x rent). Additionally the management company will be running your credit and rental history ($20) and will want to see proof of employment/income. Sorry no pets allowed and no smoking.
