My current postdoc program at Stanford is about to finish, and we will be leaving the US by the end of January 2011. Our current place (1BR apartment) will become available for rent from the end of Jan.

The address is 340 Ventura Avenue, Palo Alto, 94306, which is a nice complex with 31 apartments. The complex has a nice garden, BBQ area and a nice swimming pool. Both front door and back door are secured.

The location is very convenient. You can either cycle to Stanford for about 15 mins, or walk to El Camino Real and take the bus. There are quite a few Stanford postdocs and PhD students living in this complex.

The manager is very friendly and does a good maintenance of the complex. There is even a web site at http://www.altorivieraapartments.com, where you can find some pics and more information.

The rent is 1445 per month, but you can usually get one month free if you sign a one year lease. With one month free, the rent is around 1324 per month.
