My neighbor is moving out of his apartment, and I am thinking of taking over his lease and getting a roommate. It's a very decent 2-BR/1BA in downtown Belmont, 2 minutes away from CalTrain and a 19-minute train ride to Palo Alto, and 36-50 minutes to San Francisco. Commuting to Stanford without a car is absolutely doable. 24-hour Safeway is 5 minutes away (and a weekly Farmers' Market). Comes with garage+driveway parking and in-building washer and dryer. Actual price is TBD, but it should be very comparable to Stanford housing. I am expecting $900-1000 / person / month, but it will be up to the landlord. Would be available in 30-45 days.
About me: 28-year old gay male, in 5th year of social science PhD program, somewhere in-between fuzzy and techie. No pets, not exactly neat but prone to occasional bouts of thorough cleaning, and more of a night-owl than an early riser. Into biking, running and travel hacking.
Ideal roommate is any gender / sexual orientation / ethnicity, and easy-going, responsible and respectful. Pets are probably a no-go, and you must have good credit history and some documentable income (landlord's rules, not mine). If you're interested message me for more details!
