Room description: Unfurnished room (A full size (regular: 54 × 75 in) bed in excellent condition ($250) and a big desk ($60) are available) with a mid-size closet. The room is about 120 square feet.

About the apartment: The apartment has a shared bathroom and a large furnished living room and kitchen. The kitchen has a portable dishwasher. The living room and bedrooms have hardwood floors, and these were replaced in 2011. The apartment tends to be very sunny and has east and west facing windows. The landlord contracts with landscapers to tend to the trees and floral beds outside the apartment.

Your (potential!) flatmate: He is a responsible, neat late-stage Ph.D. student at Stanford University. He's a light user of the common space, as he spends a good portion of the day on campus, but he's looking for a friendly flatmate that would make the apartment feel a bit like home.

Location (location, location!): Conveniently located in downtown Menlo Park. It takes 10-15 minutes to bike to Stanford and the same to walk to the Menlo Park Caltrain station; Peet's and Draeger's are a 5 minute walk, and Trader Joe's, a 15 minutes' stroll.

Rent: $1050 per month. Internet and PG&E costs are not included in the rent. In sum, these are about $60 per month. The building has a coin operated washer and dryer.
