$1150 Stanford West Apt, Master Room, Own Bath, Opposite Campus - August 1

Location: Stanford West Apartments, located opposite the Stanford campus on Sand Hill Road.

Looking for a Stanford-affiliated, gay-friendly roommate to share a spacious 2nd floor flat on a 6-12 month lease with an Australian postdoc.

The place: This apartment is perfect for anyone studying or working at Stanford.

You get a large master bedroom with recently installed AC, your own bathroom, living and dining room with AC, kitchen area with dishwasher, and laundry. You get your own garage for a car.

The apartment has 2 swimming pools, a decent gym, a hot spa, a BBQ area, and a corner store. The Stanford shopping center is just up the road. There are 2 Safeways within a few minutes and the Marguerite shuttle to University Ave is close.

The place will be partly furnished but when my present roommate moves out it will need a dining table, a couch and a few other things. If you've got furniture, great, otherwise I'll sort it out.

You can move in anytime from July 22-August 1 as the lease expires at the end of august, and you'll have the option to renew it either for 6 or 12 months.

Cost: The rate is $1150/month and water and electricity are about $100/quarter each. At present I have cleaners in every 2 weeks for an additional $80 each per month.

Me: I'm an Australian male postdoc, 26, working full-time at the Stanford Medical School. I'm pretty easy-going but busy. I don't spend much time at home, but when I'm about I might say hello. Apart from me having friends over sometimes, you'll have the apartment pretty much to yourself.
