$1,475
I'm moving out of my room in a fantastic Russian Hill apartment in San Francisco, shared with two really cool roommates!
It's a dining room that's been converted into bedroom. No closet, but there is a china hutch that can serve as a dresser and an armoire that houses clothes. Rent is $1,475/mo plus utilities which tend to be ~$70/mo (we don't have cable, but we do have a monthly house cleaner). Deposit is $1,750, so total amount to move in will be $3,225.
It's in lovely Russian Hill, on Union between Hyde and Larkin (41/45 stops in front of the house, 2 min walk to 19, 47/49, 5 min walk to 10/12). The building experienced a pretty significant fire the year before we moved in, so as of 2009 the entire unit was brand new. We've taken excellent care to keep it nice since then. It has a split bathroom (bath/shower and sink on one side of the hall, toilet on the other), all hardwood floors, a gourmet kitchen, and it's just 2 blocks from the charm and fun of Polk Street. We have Netflix streaming since we don't watch much TV, and wifi in the front rooms and a separate router for the back rooms. The living room is fully furnished, so we will not need additional pieces. The kitchen is mostly stocked, as well, but room for some stuff if you have it.
One roommate travels a ton for work. When she is in town, she work from home on Fridays, but I've never been disturbed or bothered by it at all.
The other roommate is fast-paced and often traveling or out as well - it's a rare occasion that you'll find them both home at the same time, but I've enjoyed having a glass of wine when our paths do cross!
You have a stable income, 28-35 years old, non-smoker, no pets, clean and responsible. You don't have people crashing on our couch like our place is a hostel, but the occasional guest in town is cool. SO's are fine as long as they are respectful of our space, and don't sleep over several nights a week (no live-in partners, please). I enjoy festivals and holidays, so you can expect me to decorate seasonally. The rest we're happy to explore if we meet for an interview.
