The reason for this idiosyncratic arrangement is that I want the convenience of getting rid of these things all together with no haggling. I bought the laptop, software, and DVD burner in 2000. I used the laptop for 5 years, then received funding to purchase a new computer. I gradually stopped using the laptop. The laptop does not have a SuperDrive, so the DVD burner is a nice complement.

(2) serious about purchasing the items, ie, once you come and view the items and confirm that they are as advertised, you would want to buy them and would be able to pay in cash or money order

caveats:

• useable but not original condition

• dropped it once, so there is a dent in casing (see pictures)

• screen has bright patches (see pictures), so either you would sell the laptop for parts, repair the screen (I once asked the Apple store to repair this, and they said it would cost ~$200), or live with the screen as is (this is what I did, you get used to it pretty easily and it doesn't interfere with anything)

• besides the Microsoft Office 2004, no original software/discs

• power adapter works when plugged into laptop at most, but not all, angles

Caveats: I no longer have the original box/info/discs, but Roxio Toast 6 Titanium is installed on the laptop. I just used it to burn data to DVD, and it worked beautifully, so you should be set.
