Welcome to the Facebook House!

We are a small group of artísts, scientists, students and entrepreneurs who live, play, brainstorm together. We live in Los Altos, in the original mansion of Mark Zuckerberg and the early Facebook team when they first moved to California.

We think that a great house culture starts with great people. We strive to have fun together, to foster positive and creative energy, and to collaborate on our various endeavors and pursuits. We hope that even a short stay in our home will be valuable above and beyond the eat/sleep/work space it provides.

Some details about the place:

• Office Space! In true Silicon Valley fashion, we've converted the spacious garage into an office, filled with desk, chairs, a couch, (a hammock) and plenty of precious whiteboard space -- even a sa-wank fireplace.

• Several rooms, furnished and unfurnished, available on a rolling basis

• Large outside grill, firepit, and gazebo

• Rooms start at $1550 per month + common charges (gas, electric, water, high-speed cable internet, maid service).

• Abundant parking on our giant driveway.

• 4000 square feet, 3 story, 8 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom mansion; modern spacious hardcore kitchen with new dishwasher; shiny new hardwood floors; giant balcony; beautiful back yard with a gazebo; backs onto a creek and a golf course. Jussayin.

• 12 minute drive to the Stanford Campus Main Quad; a block away from the 280 - so you make great time getting up and down the peninsula. About 40 min to surf (S), city (N), or surf city (it's a state of mind, man).

• The house is enormous and all the rooms have beautiful natural lighting, and there are so many awesome stories that happened here the landlord even wrote a book about it.

• New washer and dryer - to keep your whites white and brights bright.

• Tons of storage space for your servers, surfboards and/or secret time machines.

• Extremely responsive absolute sweetheart (Buddhist) landlord who takes great care of us - and let's us be creative with the space (as long as load bearing walls remain intact.

Current Availability :
The rooms are available on July 1st - though do submit an app if you'll have future interest, as rooms do become available on a rolling basis.

You'll be sharing the place with a several startup founders from YCombinator, young professionals working in finance and venture capital, a webcode ninja from South Africa (AKA "the grill master"), as well as the potential housemates we're in the process of interviewing.
