Welcome to the Facebook House!

We are a small group of artists, scientists, explorers, grad students and entrepreneurs who live, play, brainstorm together. We live in Los Altos, in the original mansion of Mark Zuckerberg and the early Facebook team when they first moved to California.

We think that a great house culture starts with great people. We strive to have fun together, to foster positive and creative energy, to be there for each other, and to help each other with our various endeavors and pursuits. We hope that even a short stay in our home will be valuable above and beyond the eat/sleep/bbq/work space it provides.

To be clear, we absolutely love this place. It's perfect for grad students, visiting scholars, or anyone starting a company, doing an internship in Silicon Valley, or going to school. We also love that we can get to Stanford in exactly 12 minutes.

Here are some details about the place:

-We have an office! We outfitted the spacious garage into an office, filled with desk, chairs, a couch, and plenty of whiteboard space -- even a fireplace!

• Several rooms available, find a room in our network through our new searchable house database at http://cohouse.com/

• Rooms start at $1600 per month + common charges (gas, electric, water, high-speed cable internet, maid service).

• Size of private rooms ranges from 120-350sqft.

• Abundant parking on our giant driveway.

• Massive grill and fire pit where we host house get togethers every weekend.

• 4000 square feet, 3 story, 8 bedroom, 4.5 bathroom mansion; modern spacious kitchen with new dishwasher; shiny new hardwood floors; giant balcony; beautiful back yard with a gazebo; backs onto a creek and a golf course.

• 12 minute drive to the Stanford Campus Main Quad; we're a block away from the 280, so you make great time getting up and down the peninsula.

• The house is enormous and all the rooms have beautiful natural lighting, and there are so many awesome stories that happened here the landlord even wrote a book about it.

• New washer and dryer.

• Tons of storage space.

• Extremely responsive absolute sweetheart Buddhist landlord who takes great care of us.

You'll be sharing the space with startup founders at YCombinator, software developers and hardware hackers, a chemist at Tesla, a mad-scientist mixing neuroscience and computer hardware, and young professionals working in bizdev and finance for various tech companies in the valley.
