I'm selling my 1997 Nissan Sentra GXE with 121k miles. I have owned it for 2 years and now I'm moving out of the country. The KBB price is $2835 for good condition and $2310 for fair. I'm offering $2500 because there are some non-urgent mechanical issues that you should take care of at some point:
1- It's about the time to replace the front brakes.
2- The front axle boot has a tear and should be replaced.
My mechanic (Stanford Arco Auto Care) told me that I could do it next time I change oil (at 123k) which takes a year with my car usage. He'd also identified a minuscule leakage of transmission fluid but the fluid level never changes so it's not really an issue at all. It was there from the beginning and I have shown it to him every now and then and he never says it's necessary to do anything, just monitor the level. Anyway, I wanted to mention all problems I'm aware of. Oh and the transmission shifter has no lighting at night, but that's not a problem unless it's your first time driving (still you can turn on the roof light to see!). Finally I'm told that there's a tiny crack in the windshield but I always have a hard time locating it.
