I am looking for a new roommate to take over a private cozy room (with its PRIVATE bathroom) in my 2b2b apartment.
Period:
Starting from September 1, 2018 (Move-in date can be slightly flexible). One year at least is preferred but monthly rent can be negotiable. Minimum 3-6 months please.
Room:
It's a private bedroom with a PRIVATE bathroom. The room is currently furnished with a queen-size bed, desk and a closet. My current roommate may need the bed and the desk but this can be discussed with her if you would like to get them with a fair price. Of course, you are welcome to take your own furniture with you.
Common area:
The apartment has just been upgraded and underwent rehabilitation early this year, with new stainless steel appliances and hardwood floors. SO THIS IS A BRAND NEW PLACE! The common areas are well furnished and it has a full kitchen with electronic stove, oven, microwave, fridge and cupboards etc. I can make room for anything you have such as utensils or kitchen appliances.
Parking Space:
There is a private parking lot available and open spaces assigned for visitor’s parking. Parking has seldomly been an issue here.
Neighborhood:
Very safe! Most of the tenants are working professionals in the Bay Area and I have never encountered any safety issues or risks. The Mountain View police station is not far away.
There is a swimming pool next to the leasing office and a barbecue place. Fantastic for summer time!
Great location:
The apartment is very close to the San Antonio Shopping Center, CalTrain, Target, Kohls, grocery stores, 24-Hour Fitness and restaurants (For details, please see below). It’s a safe neighborhood and a perfect place to live for study, work or visit!
10-minute walk to the San Antonio Shopping Center, where Trader Joe’s, Safeway, Walmart, Target, Whole Food and CVS are convenient for groceries and daily shopping.
10-minute walk to CalTrain station for daily commute or a getaway on weekends to San Francisco/ San Jose.
5-minute walk to bus station where Line 22, 35 and 522 take you to school and places in Palo Alto. Stanford Shuttle (Line SE) stops right at the gate of Walmart, where takes 5-10 minutes to get there by walk.
15-minute drive or 35-minute bike to Stanford, 7-minute drive to downtown Mountain View, 8-minute drive to Ranch 99 and 9-minute drive to Google etc.
Your Future Roommate (Yes! That's me!):
I am a Stanford alum and now working in the Bay Area. I am a pretty friendly, easygoing person and quite chill. I am normally busy on weekdays but enjoy cooking, movies, chatting and working out on weekends or during free time. I have been keeping quite routine and healthy schedule, so no worries about noise. Besides, two bedrooms with a living room in between well block noises, if any, away. I look forward to having a new roommate and also a new friend and I'm excited to learn about you, your country, study, work and whatever you would like to share with me!
Rent :
$1,350 per month,Wi-Fi included (Palo Alto/ Mountain View area is pretty expansive. Thanks to my prior roommate who assigned the entire lease to me, we got the price of 2008!)
Water, electricity, sewage and other utilities are NOT included, approximately $60 (summer) to $150 (winter) per person.
Utilities in winter is normally higher but really subject to how much heater you will be using. I don't stay at home in the daytime on weekdays so the cost from my side will be relatively low. I will be responsible for utility payment each month and you will only need to split the actual cost with me.
Deposit: One-month rent please (Refundable).
Document: would be great if you may provide a copy of your payroll if you are a working professional or any document that can prove your stable income. This is also required by the leasing office.
Alternatively, we can work with the leasing office to add your name in. You will need to provide them additional documents, application fee, deposits and we will take care of rent and utility fees separately. I am fine with either way.
Whom I am looking for:
A communicative and respectful roommate who will keep the room & common area clean and tidy.
Female young professional preferred. Stanford Affiliates are preferred.
Quiet at night.
No smokers and no drugs, please.
No long-term live-in partner, please. No live-in partner is preferred but can be discussed.
Sorry, pets are not allowed in this complex
Rent paid on time and be responsible for cleaning up the room upon leave. No destructions.

当然,也欢迎室友和租房中心签约,并将名字添加在整个公寓上。但需要提供更多的文件、定金和申请费用。我们分别向租赁中心和各机构缴纳费用。两种方式,我都可以。

整个公寓夏天刚刚翻新过,面积较大。卧室方正,采光充足,带独立洗手间浴室,设施齐全,有双人床、桌椅、壁橱及储藏室。和室友共享客厅、厨房,家具、用品齐全,可以提包入住。客厅位于两室中间,隔音效果好。小区周边安全、设施便利。(当前室友可能会带走床和书桌,也考虑转卖,价格合理;当然,也欢迎自带家具)
社区:
非常安全,也很安静。大部分租客是在湾区的工作人士。入住以来,尚未遇到过任何危险或和安全有关的隐患。租房中心旁边配有游泳池、躺椅和烧烤架,为夏日生活增添多一份乐趣。
交通:
地理位置优越。步行10分钟可达San Antonio购物中心,有沃尔玛、Target、Trader Joe's、Safeway、Whole Food等超市及24小时健身房、百货店。周边餐馆包括中、日、美、韩、泰等风味,选择丰富。
步行10分钟可达San Antonio火车站,去往三番/圣禾塞通勤、短游方便。步行5分钟可达公交车站,22路、35路、522路直达学校及Palo Alto, Mountain View, Sunnyvale等湾区多地。步行5-10分钟可搭乘斯坦福巴士SE线到达学校及购物中心。
开车15分钟或骑车35分钟左右到斯坦福校园,车程7分钟到达Mountain View(山景城)市中心,开车8分钟到达华人超市、谷歌等。公寓配有一私人停车位和一访客停车位,多的访客停车位先到先得,亦可路边停车。入住以来,停车位几乎没有成为过问题。
未来的室友 (对,就是我:):
我是斯坦福毕业生,现在湾区工作。自认为随和、友善,喜欢交友。工作日大部分时间在外繁忙,周末比较闲适,煮饭、聊天、看书、看电影。作息比较规律,不会有深夜派对,晚上卧室之间客厅隔音效果好,社区也比较安静,易于休息。

易于相处、尊重彼此、整洁安静,最好是女生。可以按时支付房租,不破坏公寓设施,离开时可以将房间清理复原。
不抽烟、不吸毒、无酗酒等不良嗜好,单人入住,无长期过夜访客;根据公寓要求,无宠物。
