My roommate will be moving out sometime in late May to June, so her room and private bathroom will be available around that time. Let me know your move-in time frame and we can be flexible. Rent is $1347.50 plus utilities (about $50/person most of the year, but $75-100 in the winter). I am looking for a long-term roommate who will sign a year-long lease.
About me: I am a female Stanford graduate student studying immunology. In my free time, I enjoy ceramics, indoor rock climbing, yoga, and volleyball. I'm not home much during the day or weeknights, but I spend a lot of time at home cooking and relaxing on the weekends.
This is a large, second floor apartment with a vaulted ceiling and plenty of sunlight. There is a patio with room for furniture and plants, as well as an outdoor storage closet on the patio. The common space features a dining area with a table and breakfast bar, a living room with a fireplace, and a kitchen with all appliances (refrigerator, microwave, electric stove, oven, dishwasher, and pantry space). In general, the apartment is fully furnished and the kitchen fully stocked with utensils/dishes, but there is some space if you have a small amount of furniture you would like to bring. There is also some space for more kitchenware if you have it. There is an AC unit and electric heaters with individual switches in the dining room, living room, and each of the bedrooms. The fireplace also provides nice heat to the common area. There is a single shared, covered parking space but lots of street parking as well.
The open bedroom is large and can easily fit a queen bed with some additional furniture. There is a closet in the bedroom, and you will have the linen closet to yourself as well. You will have a private bathroom that is next to but not attached to the bedroom. It has a full bath and shower. These areas will come completely unfurnished.
The location is great! You will be within walking distance of several grocery stores (Lucky, CVS, Walmart) including Asian markets, as well as restaurants, a golf course, and parks. It's also a 30 minute walk to Santana Row. The apartment itself is on a residential street but with quick access to major roads for an easy commute. It's just off of 280 and Saratoga, nearby San Tomas Expressway and Stevens Creek Boulevard. It is a short drive/bike ride to the Santa Clara Caltrain Station as well.
If you are interested in the apartment, let me know a little bit about yourself. What do you do for work and for fun, what kind of roommate are you, what kind of roommate are you looking for? How often do you cook, clean, and have guests over? What are your usual hours? If you have any questions, let me know!
