It is with great sadness i report that after a solid 5 year run, my beautiful italian roommate is leaving me for her sketchy older boyfriend. good for her. now it is time for this apartment to bloom.

About the room:
1 large bedroom available on 11/15/18. 1 small bedroom available immediately.
room will be subleased with a 6 month minimum. rent will be split evenly, so rent could be anywhere from $950 to $1400 + expenses.
The landlord has increased the rent twice (by ~$200) in the last 6 years. if it happens again, you need to be ok with the possibility that your rent goes up slightly. this is still a really good deal for the area.
attached are photos of the smaller room. the bigger room has a much bigger window and closet.

About me:
i work from home. when i'm not working i'm cooking, reading, or playing guitar. when i'm not at home i'm at the rock gym, hanging out with friends, or traveling.
when i'm into something i go deep. i have or have access to basically any kitchen gadget you might need, including sous vide, juicer, cast irons. my kitchen always contains the ingredients to make righteuous tacos. i am an aspiring vegetarian.

about you:
i would like us to be friends, not just two people who live under the same roof and occasionally grunt at each other. i'm not saying we will be besties, but i'd like you to be open to the idea.
you won't melt under pressure. you won't call the cops if you hear a loud noise or if the downstairs neighbors are smoking.
you are clean, or could at least keep your mess in your own room.
you won't destroy the apartment or cause the landlord any grief.
you have a decent job and decent credit so you can afford paying the rent on the first of the month without griping.
try to respond to this ad with a little personality. if you respond in a robotic, transactional way, i will ignore you.

about the apartment:
it's a nice but kind of old 3 bedroom apartment. no central AC or heat, but it's up to earthquake code. probably.
hardwood laminate floors. each of us will be on the hook for mopping the floors once a month so our friends don't need to think of excuses not to visit. laundry room on premises, but not inside the apartment. we can either grow plants in the living room or the third bedroom. i'm open to renting the 3rd bedroom if you want to cut down the rent a little. the apartment has 1.5 bathrooms. i may occasionally ask to use the shower in your bathroom but the sink and commode are all yours.

location:
the apartment is located near the intersection of rock st and rengstorff ave in mountain view, ca. biking, it is about 5-10 min to Google campus, 10 min to the caltrain station, 3 minutes to the nearest grocery store, 10-15 min to downtown mountain view.
