I am selling my car: 2008 Volvo S40 2.4i 4D - a sedan that served me really good, mostly during trips in California and a little bit for commuting. The car is in excellent mechanical condition (I owned previously 3 cars, that's the first that worked that reliably), clean title, no accidents, clean outside and inside, well maintained (full maintenance passed this summer). The car is perfect for those who value reliability, safety, longevity and a classic look provided by this Scandinavian manufacturer (check out reviews on the Internet).

This car has nice features, for instance:

• 8 air bags/curtains
• sun roof,
• switch from automatic to semi-manual transmission (important on steep roads or for more dynamic driving).
• 6 CDs player,
• Electrically controlled seat
• Abs/traction control
• and many more.

I am selling because I need much bigger car to pack five people with lots of luggage, camping gears, ski equipment etc. This sedan is great but the space is more limited as compared with wagons or SUVs.

As I wrote, the car is in an excellent mechanical condition confirmed recently in the maintenance in a Volvo shop, thus a next owner shouldn't expect any upcoming repairs. That includes:

• The car has replaced timing belt by a previous owner.
• New rear brakes, and quite new front breaks.
• Entirely new oil housing,
• New oil and filters.
• Tires in good condition.
• New alternator belt.
• And overall good shape of other subsystems.

Only issues to my knowledge:

• You may think to replace the battery next year, it is starting the engine great but the electrical tests indicated a somewhat decreased capacitance so you may consider it or keep until you really see some issues.
• There are some minor scratches on the body, I would say from the normal wear from several years of use.
