Description

I’m moving out of the country and I can’t take my adventure-ready Subaru outback. Looking to handover the keys around Aug 27.

2018 Outback Premium
Mileage will be about 150k by end of August (when I want to sell).

This is dialed in for someone looking for adventures. I mounted 2x100W solar panels up top.  These charge a Lithium Goal Zero Power bank, with ac/dc outputs (Yeti 400, $600). I mostly use it to power a Dometic CFX3 fridge ($800, barely used).
Also have a premium kuat hitch bike rack installed (NV2.0, $1000 new). The rack is well used but works, and includes new locks and one new tray.

I maintained her very well because I  planned to drive it all the way until she died.

Right after my PhD here, I spent a summer living out of this for camping/biking. I think it would be awesome to pass this onto an adventurous person in the Stanford community.

Looking at similar mileage/model year on Craigslist, they run around $11-13k. There is no warranty left on the car. And with all my outdoor adventures, there’s lots of small scratches, and some small SF induced dents. The head unit is aftermarket pioneer with CarPlay/android. Last week, i had the rear wheel bearings and front sway bar replaced. These are the two common major fixes for this vehicle series. Along with the rear brakes and rotors, this cost me $2100. No car accidents. I also replaced the CVT fluid in 2023. I have paper records of these jobs.

I bought this car when it was ~23,000 in 2019. The car is "previous salvage" because of the vandalism, which was only cosmetic damage. No structural or engine damage. So I'm pricing this way below market. Taking everything into account and with all the additional gear (hitch, bike rack, solar setup, battery, fridge), I’m asking $8,000. Hoping to catch someone looking to buy at end of summer.

I have more pictures, but SUpost has a limit. Let me know if you want more.

Make an offer! Happy to setup test drives around Stanford area.
