The 38th Annual Harvest Festival gets underway at 9 am on Saturday, September 29th at the Palo Alto Friends Meetinghouse, 957 Colorado, south of Oregon Expressway, between Louis and Greer. Stanford students are welcome and will find useful items and local treasures cheap at the giant rummage and book sale. There is lunch for sale from 11 am to 3 pm featuring falafel sandwiches, dessert crepes, cider and more. The sale is famous for seasonal, homemade jams, jellies, chutneys and baked goods on offer. Live music all day long adds to this Friendly neighborhood celebration. Proceeds support F.C.L. the Quaker social justice organization working on California issues.
