Note: This is for a room in San Francisco, not the Stanford University area.
Hello all! My landlady, from whom I have been renting for the past year, is looking for a new tenant or tenants. I have had a wonderful experience renting a room from this family, and I would like to pass this opportunity along to a fellow Stanford alum.
__
Available: June 4th for the room upstairs, June 10th for the rooms downstairs
Location: Near SFSU. House is located on Beverly St. crossed by Garfield.
Rent Term: Long-term (6 months or more). Short-term might be considered.
Rent: $750, $850, and $950 (utilities included). Upstairs room is $900 per month.
Deposit: One month's rent. (Refundable, minus damage/cleaning fees)
Internet: Comcast Wireless Broadband.
Bathroom: There are two bathrooms downstairs, which are shared between three tenants.
Washer and Dryer use included (once per week)
Rules: No pets, no overnight guests, no smoking, drinking is okay but not to excess. Pretty standard.
An odd preference: My landlady would really prefer to host Asian students/alum. It's her home and she would just feel more comfortable that way, so I'm just giving you a heads up. Being able to speak Chinese or Taiwanese is a plus.
Parking is a bit of an issue, so preference is given to those who don't need to drive.

Personal notes:
For someone looking for a quiet, affordable place to live in with nice people and a kitchen to use, I can't recommend this place more. My landlady has been very accommodating, and the home feels clean, friendly, and comfortable. There is also a living room you can use, though I hardly ever use it.
Public transportation is very convenient. A five minute walk takes you to the Muni that can take you to any of the major shopping districts with ease, and one bus stop is literally just around the corner. Either of the two can take you to the Stonestown Mall, which has a Trader Joe's where you can buy groceries and department stores if you'd like. It takes about 30-50 minutes to get to any other major shopping district.
If you'd like to know more about the rooms, please send me a message and I will get back to you as soon as I can. If you can, please introduce yourself a little too. When you'd like to rent, how long you'd be renting for, and whether you'll need a parking space would be helpful information.
