Our co-operative house is looking for someone who is interested in being part of a community of environmentally-minded and active young people.

Some of the things we do include: House dinners (~ once a week, vegetarian), house lunches (we have an organic/local packed lunch share in the house), gardening, composting, community service (e.g. food gleaning and donation), hosting parties, game nights, recycling grey water, hosting community events (Potluck + discus current events, movie screening, DIY workshop, etc)

We have one 11x13 bedroom available in a 5 bedroom / 2 bath coop house in Palo Alto- move in date in mid December - New Years. The current housemates (4 women, 2 men) are Stanford graduate students and working professionals in their 20's and 30's. We're very close to the Stanford Campus, Palo Alto Caltrain station, and two farmers markets!

Our house includes: a courtyard with a BBQ and fire pit, a decent sized garden in the front yard, pool table, basement with home theater for movies, upright piano, hardwood floors, large living room with fireplace, covered bike shed, good conversation and good fun. We also have an orange tabby cat who is very friendly and has free roam of most of the common spaces, though he doesn't typically go in bedrooms unless invited.

Our ideal housemate:

• is responsible and able to pay rent and utilities on time
• is clean and respectful of common spaces
• is into sustainable living
• is a non-smoker
• has past co-op experience or is interested in learning more about co-operative living
• wants to be involved in the house activities and broader community
• can commit to 12 months

Some logistics:
-Utilities not included in rent (~ $50 / month)
-1st months rent ($835) & Deposit (also $835) are due at move in
-Single Occupancy
