One of the roommates in our awesome 4BR, 3.5BA house is moving out, and we need to fill the space quick! We've had difficulty in finding someone who is a good fit for our unique home, so we're lowering the price to $900/month for a June 2 move-in date.
A bit about the room:
- The room easily fits a queen bed with plenty of room to spare.
- The balcony lets in tons of light and faces a row of trees which grants privacy.
- The bathroom is recently re-tiled and includes a great shower with VERY strong water pressure. We've found that running the sink while you're in the shower reduces the water pressure enough that it is comfortable to shower.
- You will share a wall with one of our housemates who is a semi-professional theremin player.
A bit about the house:
- We're an eclectic group of programmers, founders, disruptors and iconoclasts focused on social welfare. We work in pharmaceuticals, product design, and private estate management.
- Chores are assigned weekly on a merit system based on group discussion of recent achievements in the workplace. As the leader of the house, I am the final arbiter, but the other housemates will agree that I am fair.
- Food is shared freely among everyone in the house, unless you've been struck with a demerit for the week.
- The house is equipped with Nest devices in every room which monitor utility usage; I use the data to divide up the bill fairly at the end of every month.
- You must be a non-smoker. Two of us are already smokers, and we are trying to quit.
- As leader of the house, I have elected to enforce the law of primae noctis. There will be more detail in the behavioral contract, but understand the general principle before emailing so we can avoid discomfort later on.
