Room in furnished house (5 bedroom/3.5 bathroom) open near Oregon and Alma. Rent is $1200, paid month-to-month with a one month's deposit. The house is beautiful, complete with a nice backyard lawn and fruit trees, a large kitchen, living room/dining room, and four wonderful roommates.

About us: We are 1 girl and 3 guys, all mid-20s and Stanford grads working in the area/studying. We are fun and sociable, and our interests include swing dancing/social dance, random engineering projects, start-ups, ultimate frisbee, hiking, etc.

Our kitchen is Kosher (ie please no pork or shellfish, meat and dairy is cooked with separate dishes, and as long as unkosher food is not cooked or stored in the kitchen it is ok in the house), but only one of us keeps kosher, and everyone does just fine-- my roommate looking over my shoulder right now says she doesn't feel limited at all in what she can and can't eat-- granted she doesn't eat bacon or ham except maybe on a Hawaiian pizza, but there you have it. Don't hesitate to ask any questions! This setup work well for a vegetarian/vegan, or a flexible meat eater.

The room is beautiful-- spacious, big windows, built-in-closet, and opens right onto our backyard. Bathroom (with two sinks!) is shared with one other roommate.

About you: You are someone cool, courteous/respectful, and for whom bacon is not a vital food. The roomies are a pretty social bunch (the dinner party type, not the rager type)--we have our own lives, but frequently kick back together at the end of the day, cook dinner, or watch Doctor Who.
