Looking for a housemate to take second room in a 2-bedroom / 2-bathroom apartment in College Terrace for 1490$/month + utilities (exp. <100$/each). You will have your own bathroom and the bedroom comes unfurnished. The apartment is ideally located for Stanford affiliates or people working in the area and will be ready to move in Oct 1st~4th since the carpet is being cleaned.

• 10 min walk to Farmers Market.
• 5 min bike ride to the Dish Loop hiking trail.

The room/apartment:

• 1-year lease (could consider short-term). Landlord will do background checks at no cost.
• Medium size unfurnished bedroom with exclusive bathroom.
• First floor apartment of a small residential complex.
• Room has a large closet and there is additional storage available in the apartment.
• Common areas will be furnished - if you have furniture we can definitely talk about it.
• Kitchen equipped with all the expected appliances, including dishwasher.
• One covered carport w/ street parking option available.
• Small reserved exterior storage unit.
• Outside coin operated laundry machines.
• Shared backyard with space for some plants/veg/bbq.

Me:
Early-30s male working for Stanford as an engineer. I recently moved to the area and was looking for a place to live until I found this one. I'm an easy person to get along with and I tend to be quite open, witty and I also joke around a lot. I’m a nerd, a gamer and a meme enthusiast (is that a thing?).
My interests range from sci-fi/action/drama cinema/tv, video games (got PC/Switch), board games, fitness, traveling, and anything that has electronics in it really. In the winter I also like to snowboard.
During my free time I normally like to chill on the couch and watch or play a game, socialize and meet friends either in or out of the house, explore a nearby hiking trail or workout. Other times I am working on some project or trying new things around town.
I only drink socially and I don’t smoke or do drugs.

You:
Chill, friendly, open-minded individual who, preferably, has similar interests and that cleans after him/herself - we will be sharing a place after all. Please also don't do drugs nor smoke.
