I know this isn't a for sale ad, but someone just tried to scam me based on an ad I placed here, so I thought I'd give others in the same place a heads up.

The person claimed to want to buy my calculator as well as "some other things in the area" and sent me a check for $1800 (much more than the calculator costs) and asked me to wire the rest on to a western union account.

If I had complied, he/she would have taken the money I forwarded and dashed before the bank could tell me the check hadn't cleared.

BE CAUTIOUS.
