I am sadly parting ways with my custom built Brompton. I really love this bike, but I have far too many modes of transportation at the moment and not enough time to use it.
For background, Bromptons are traditionally built with an internal shifter hub. This Brompton super light has been modified to use an Dura Ace 10s (really 11s with a 10s cassette) front and rear so it shifts like a real bike! Woo! The builder I bought it from also added a front disc break which makes a MASSIVE difference when it comes to downhill performance and overall bike feel. I have ridden this bike in the Berkeley Hills (VERY HILLY) and felt much safer than I ever have before on a folding bike. Of course, for maximum performance, the bike also has a titanium front fork, rear triangle, and seatpost.
This is really a fantastic bike if you are interested in traveling with something that can fit in a suitcase, or keeping a bike under a blanket in the back of your car.
