Hi,

I'm a 29-yr-old PhD student in the social sciences at Stanford. I've just locked down an awesome apartment in downtown Menlo park (1311 Mill Street), and I'm looking for a housemate to go onto the lease (1 year) with me. The lease opens up September 6th (they are currently doing some renovations so we can't move in before then). Looking for someone similar in age (late 20s/early 30s), respectful of space, but also interested in being friends and helping make this place a real home. Any gender ok. Would like to meet in person first to make sure we are a good fit. I will have a key soon so that I should be able to show you the place, but in the meantime here are some pictures of the unit (keep in mind that things will look a little different since they are doing renovations). I don't know the square footage of the bedrooms (sorry!) but they are both quite large with sizable closets. Everything is unfurnished but that gives us an opportunity to design the place to our liking!

Other details:

• Laundry is coin-operated and shared with 4 other similar units.
• We have a car-port but street-side parking is also easy.
• The apartment is right next to Caltrain, which is both great (it's right next to Caltrain) but also not ideal if you are a very light sleeper. If you are on the fence about this aspect (like I was) I'll show you the place and you can sit in the bedroom and see for yourself as a train goes by and decide whether it's an issue.
