we have a room in our downtown Palo Alto apartment available now.
The room is spacious and has lots of light with direct access to a bathroom that is shared with one other roommate. The room has some furniture (including desk, bed, chairs, bookcase), and you are welcome to get your own furniture too. Also, there is a pool in a beautiful backyard.
The rent for the room is $1550/month plus utilities (less than $50 per month). The lease is month-to-month, the deposit is $250. The leasing agency requires a $35 credit check and a $150 sign-on fee.
Please write a little bit about yourself in the response to this posting and please tell us how long you would like to stay and what your start starting date would be. We will be meeting with potential roommates (skype can also work if you are from out of town) asap.

Here's some more details about the room/apartment:

Sunny room, good size (16ftx11ft) with hardwood floors and high ceilings.

The apartment is 2 blocks from University Ave, a 10min walk to Caltrain, and short 10min bike ride to Stanford campus. Cross streets are Forest and Waverley.

The building has a lovely backyard with a small pool, a pool table & piano room, a laundry room, and bike storage room.

The room has direct access to the bathroom through a private door, the bathroom is shared with one other roommate (male). In addition, it has a walk-in (or more precisely walk-through) closet area, which has one closet for hanging clothes on one side (the door with the mirror in the picture), and built-in shelves and drawers on the other side.

The room is currently furnished with a twin size bed (and confy mattress), two desks and chairs, and a bookcase.
