About the apartment: Beautiful new 3 bed, 2 bath apartment in downtown Palo Alto. Two block walk to everything downtown and less than half a mile to the Caltrain! It was completely remodeled right before we moved in three years ago with nice all-new finishes: granite counters, stainless steel appliances, dishwasher, in-unit W/D, etc. There's a nice deck with a grill off of the living area. We share one carport space, but there's plenty of street parking.

The rent is $1,450/mo. We split utilities and cable/internet evenly, which ends up at about $70/month. The landlord will want to do a credit check and get 1 month's rent as deposit before signing you on to the lease.

About the room: 1 bedroom with lots of light. Unfurnished. It shares the larger, common bathroom with one other (female) roommate. The previous roommate, who is leaving to move in with her fiance, had a bed, desk, dresser, and a couple bookshelves in it.

About the roommates: 1 guy and 1 girl, late 20's. (Not a couple!) Both of us are working in education and have Stanford grad degrees. We have busy schedules and keep things pretty low key, especially on weeknights since we get up for early school days. We're both friendly and agreeable. I'm pretty active and love to run, hike, etc. My roommate is a voracious reader (and English teacher) and big sports fan (Giants and Warriors mainly). We both love wine. Favorite local restaurants are Coconuts and Darbar!
