Share hall bath with 3 other renters (two after mid-June). Current renters are Polish Stanford graduate researcher, Canadian Stanford law program director, French Google intern, and German Bosch intern. Shorter-term stays considered.

Room is approx. 12 x 12 feet with built-in closet, extralong twin chestbed, sturdy work table, large dressser, extensive wall-hung book shelves, cabinets, and drawers. Pleasant view of garden and trees from bedroom window. Bedding and towels provided.

Full use of fully-equipped kitchen (provided you clean up!), dining/living area, patio/garden, and in-house washer/drier included. . Water and energy conservation essential. Driveway and/or street parking available or space to store bicycle.

Sorry, no pets, no heavy drinking/smoking/drugs. Occasional overnight guests and small dinner parties ok.

Home is in pleasant, safe family neighborhood at the end of long, quiet, cul-de-sac, easy walk to excellent Piazza's grocery store and Peet's Coffee, about 15 minutes by car/20 minutes by bike to Stanford, 10 minutes by bike to San Antonio Caltrain station, close to Google shuttle route, close to VTA bus routes 88 and 35.

I am an active retiree, female, former ESL teacher, former software co-entrepreneur, world traveler, busy with many activities and interests. I occupy the master suite and a studio/office in converted garage.

Rent is $1250 a month, which INCLUDES ALL UTILITIES (room has individual thermostat for HEATING and AIR CONDITIONING as well as radiant heating), WIRELESS INTERNET, AND WEEKLY HOUSEKEEPING IN COMMON AREAS AND BATHROOM. First and last month's rent plus $450 security deposit required to move in.

Note: A second bedroom, slightly larger, $1300, will be available March 30.
