Hi everyone, My name is Thijs, I'm 24 and from the Netherlands and in the final stages of my Master's in Energy Science at ETH Zürich in Switzerland. I'll be joining Stanford for a period of 7 months to conduct my Master thesis as a Visiting Student Researcher, starting mid-September. I'm looking for a furnished room in a shared house/apartment, ideally within ~5 miles from campus. I'm flexible on the exact dates, and would also consider a shorter term lease, giving me the option to look for something longer-term in the meantime. Throughout my student time I have lived in several shared student apartments, ranging between 2 and 8 roommates. Beyond keeping the common spaces clean and tidy, I have always had positive experiences hanging out, cooking dinner, and going on an occasional trip together. In my free time I enjoy venturing the outdoors, doing different sports like hiking and skiing. I am always up for an adventure in the mountains or a spontaneous trip elsewhere.
