The space: Large, furnished bedroom in two-story 2Br/1.5ba townhouse in Mountain View right next to beautiful Rengstorff Park. The room has a HUGE closet with mirrored sliding doors, lots of natural light. Very comfy memory foam mattress, shelving, fans, closet organizers, lamps, and adjustable sit/standing desk (!) included.

The area: The apartment is conveniently located just off of Central Expressway and Rengstorff, right between El Camino Real and the 101 freeway. Within a mile from Downtown Mountain View (Castro St.), San Antonio Shopping Center, Walgreens on El Camino, and two Caltrain Stations (San Antonio and Castro St.). Google is 2.5miles away, only ~5miles from Stanford (15min by car, 30min by bike). Right on the corner of the complex are several restaurants (including an awesome El Salvadorian pupuseria), dry cleaners, and Mi Pueblo market. Management is fantastic and extremely responsive to repair requests, many new renovations have been made this summer. Uncovered parking is available in the parking lot directly outside the unit.

Single occupancy. Overnight guests are totally welcome (we're adults, after all), but nothing long term. If you want to have friends/family visit for a couple days just be considerate and talk to us first. Theres a super comfy couch and futon chair guests can sleep on once in a while.

Amenities: Newly renovated pool in complex, gym, bbq area, and lounge space for parties. Recently installed electric vehicle charging stations in the parking lot. A/C in apartment (downstairs in living/kitchen space only). Laundry on-site, only ~50ft from the apartment. Two furnished private balconies (one downstairs, one upstairs through our room that you are welcome to use - just ask). Dishwasher, crockpot, pretty much any kitchen tools you would need. 3D projector, dvd player, and sound system in the living room with Chromecast.

Utilities: All utilities are included with 200Mb/s cable internet + cable tv + Hulu/Netflix/HBO Go. We get the house deep cleaned every couple of months, which usually ends up being about $80/person including bedrooms.

Rent: $1750/mo + $400 deposit

Availability: January 1, early move-in possible in December. At least 3 months notice required before move out so we're not scrambling to find a replacement.

Us: Two 30 yr old professionals (male + female), I'm a PhD student at Stanford and my boyfriend works in biotech. I've been living in this apartment for about 4 years and love it more now than the day I moved in. The only reason the space is available is because our current roommate has to move back home to have surgery. We're clean, quiet, considerate and both work a lot (occasionally from home). We enjoy cooking and make big meals about 3-4X a week, you're welcome to join us! We love music, adventures to SF/Oakland, and hiking around the bay area - if you're new to the bay we'd be happy to show you around.

You: Clean, chill, quiet, considerate, clean, pays rent on time (by the 30th of each month), clean. Did we say clean? Can you tell we've had some bad experiences before? We're by no means neat freaks, but if you cook/use public spaces just clean it up within the next day or two. We'd prefer to have a roommate we can kick it and drink a beer on the couch with as opposed to some random person we see once in a while. We could care less if you're a techie, artist, or barista - we just want to get along with you!
