<p>Lecture series presented by Stanford University Center for Latin American Studies and the Cantor Arts Center: "Nobles and Outlaws: Living in Quito in the 18th Century" with Tamar Herzog, Professor of History, Stanford University. </p>
<p>Lecture is in collaboration with Stanford University Center for Latin American Studies and relates to the Cantor Arts Center exhibition "The Virgin, Saints, and Angels: South American Paintings 1600—1825 from the Thoma Collection." The 53 paintings in this private collection offer a compelling survey of the diverse works; shows art and iconography from the vast Spanish Viceroyalty of Peru, which encompassed much of present day Peru, Bolivia, Columbia, and Ecuador. </p><BR/>
