The site is similar to supost.com - a mix of craigslist/ebay classifieds/yelp but for a specific industry. Must be willing to sign an NDA - Non-Compete. The immediate Purpose will be for an individual to develop a web site by planning and executing design, writing code, or using open source where available; future duties may include maintaining and upgrading services.

The Web Developer needed for this project will be able to create a site that is driven by user content where users can create profiles, leave reviews, and post classifieds (or similar to classifieds). Think of it as a very specific ebay classifieds/craigslist/yelp and NOT a social media website. The web developer chosen for this project must sign a confidentiality/non-disclosure and non-compete agreement.

Web Site Designer Job Duties:

Plans site design by designing user experience, functionality, writing code.

Develops site navigation by categorizing content; funneling traffic through user content.

Develops site around user content and develops graphics by coordinating with copywriters and graphic artists; designing images, icons, banners, audio enhancements, etc.

Prepares site by installing and configuring server software; installing programming language using authoring and formatting tools; ensuring cross-platform compatibility; establishing links. Registering with search engines.

Upgrades site by updating content and graphics; monitoring performance and results; identifying and evaluating improvement options; introducing new technology; maintaining links. Protects site by designing and installing security precautions. Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions.

Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
