I’ve been through this process before, so let me state the terms and criteria very clearly. PLEASE READ THEM CAREFULLY AND IN FULL – before contacting me with questions.
Subletting single room for entire summer of a three room triple occupancy apartment. You will have two mechanical engineering roommates.
Kitchen is very well equipped for those that enjoy cooking and baking, as I do.
Living room has two couches and very large flat screen TV. Individual rooms are standard grad size with standard furnishings. Free utilities, wifi, and laundry. Close parking is abundant.
Must be MALE due to housing rules. One of the three rooms will be occupied by a male for the duration of the summer.
Must be grad or coterm student, or somehow affiliated with Stanford (such as summer researcher) - I will not respond to undergrads or not current affiliates.
Rooms will be available June 18th - September 19th. Very little negotiation, especially on start date. (I need a place to stay until just after graduation…) Please only inquire if you plan to stay MOST of the time available, meaning ~June20th through ~September 10th.
My goal is to cover the summer bill I have already paid to housing. Max price for entire summer = $2262. I say max because housing defines the max price I can charge per day you stay. The rates change half way through the summer, thus your final charge depends on when you actually rent. In any case, half paid up front, half at end .
Security deposit of 1/3 of max rent price to be paid up front, returned within a month of my return, after I verify everything is in good condition. (housing will really gouge me if things are not left in good shape, and many of my kitchen devices are very expensive)
I do not promise a reply. If you seem like a proper fit, I will contact you back to set up a meeting/showing of the space. Tell me what you are doing this summer and why you should get this space. Looking forward to subletting to you!
