Looking for a c# tutor.
I come from civil engineering background and am not familiar with computer languages. I've worked with SQL database a bit but that's about it.
I am looking for someone who can give me directions on where to start, what to study, and an efficient way to achieve what I would like to do.
Two main reasons why I am looking to learn c# are
3D modeling tools that I work with (e.g., Revit, Microstation) have SDK that supports C#. In the long run I'd like to learn how to extract data from the 3D modeling software and migrate them to other format (e.g., Excel). It could be a small add-on tool to the existing software.
Develop a simple frontend tool that can insert/update data using c# while using SQL as a backend.
As I said, I need someone who can give me directions on where to start, what to study, and an efficient way to achieve the above. Once the directions are given I can study and come back and ask questions. Sort of "directions - study - further directions - study" kind of cycle.
I am VERY flexible in terms of schedule. There is no deadline for me and this learning is for pure interest. I could stop when you are busy and continue when we both have time. I am willing to pay the typical hourly rates you get working for the school, or more.
Let me know. Thanks,
