I am looking for someone to take my roommate's room in our 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom apartment when he moves out between now and August to live with his mother who recently became a widow. ABOUT THE APARTMENT:
The apartment has a dishwasher, fireplace, balcony, and there is a pool, hot tub, fitness center, valet trash service, and laundry located on the premises. The complex is well-maintained, well-managed, and work orders are taken care of very quickly. The common areas of the apartment are partially furnished with my dining room table, patio set, futon, and coffee tables. You are welcome to bring additional furniture for the living room if you like and your bedroom is unfurnished.

NEARBY:
There is a large park across the street and the nearest grocery store (Safeway) is within walking distance. Downtown Campbell is 1 mile away, the Los Gatos Creek Trail is 1 mile away, Santana Row is approximately 3 miles away, and there is an abundance of shopping and restaurants nearby. The VTA Winchester Light Rail Station is 0.4 miles away and can take you to downtown San Jose or Mountain View. There is also easy access to I-880, Highway 85, and Highway 17.

PETS:
Please note that the key reason why I chose this apartment three years ago is because I am a pet-lover! I have an adult cat that you are welcome to pet and play with.

A LITTLE ABOUT ME:
I am a single high school science teacher originally from the East Coast in my mid-twenties who spends a lot of my time working. I like to run, cycle, hike, swim, and cook in my spare time. Once or twice a year, I have friends or family who visit from out of town and spend a night or two in the apartment. Since I have the summers off, I plan a big summer trip each year and am gone for for the months of June and July. In the attached picture, I am the one on the right.

ABOUT YOU:
I would really love to find someone who is friendly, easy-going, not atrociously messy, doesn't hide in their room, doesn't smoke, and is looking to live in the apartment for a year or more. This apartment complex is NOT 420-friendly. Occasional overnight guests are fine.

RENT:
The total rent for the apartment plus electricity, internet, and other utilities is $2340 per month. My room is bigger but you will have the bigger bathroom so I am asking to split the total cost of rent and utilities $1130 (you) / $1210 (me). If you move in, you will be added to the current lease that expires in August with the option to re-sign with me in a few months. The leasing office will ask you to complete some paperwork and a credit check.
