Reporting to the Managing Director, Agricultural Business Analyst will conduct research, collect and analyze fundamental domestic and international market data from a variety of agricultural sources in order to report on actual market conditions and longer term trends. This information is used to assist the firm in staying abreast of current economic conditions and to support the forecasting process. Specific duties include, but are not limited to the following:

Improve methods and procedures for collecting and processing data
Generate periodic and recurring reports including various graphs and charts used for both internal purposes and in support of external client needs
Publish reports according to prescribed release dates and times
Coordinate communications among and between internal teams and clients
Support the strategic planning process and assist in developing customized risk management strategies for clients

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Agricultural Economics, Business or related field.
One to two years of work experience desirable.
Strong communicator with a high level of verbal and written communication skills.
Technological competence and aptitude to quickly learn internal customized software systems as well as fluency with Microsoft Suite of software.
Proven track record of creativity and innovation.
Ability to take initiative, prioritize, respond with a sense of urgency and meet both internal and external deadlines.
Completion of Series 3 licensure or ability to secure same within 3 months of date of hire.
Knowledge of statistics and financial modeling helpful.
Knowledge of Agribusiness highly desired.
Willingness to travel up to approximately 10% of the time.
Willingness to work in an office in Farmington Hills, Michigan.
Willingness to submit to a background screen and a drug test
