I am seeking a room in exchange for tutoring physics and/or math.

I earned a PhD degree in applied physics and a master degree in mathematics from Stanford. I also earned a master degree in electrical engineering from Caltech. I taught four quarters of introductory physics courses (the 20 and 40 series) while I was a graduate student at Stanford. I also tutored a high school student before (both physics and math).

1. long-term (say 1-year) preferred, as it takes time to teach the correct way of thinking (based on my past tutoring experience CA high school teachers seem to teach how to solve one problem instead of one type of problems---for those who wonder what is the difference between learning how to solve one problem and learning how to solve one type of problems please consult a great book titled "How to Solve It" by the famous mathematician late Stanford professor George Polya)
2. just starting his/her high school or second year, if he/she is about to take SAT then it is probably more helpful to attempt as many practice problems as possible than finding a tutor
3. preferably near Stanford campus

1. minimum of 6 hours per week tutoring (and I prefer 0.5-1 hour per weekday and some more time during weekends so that I can continuously monitor your child's curriculum and progress)
2. I can tutor your child 2 to 3 times for free to let him/her find out whether he/she is comfortable with my teaching style or not.
