Annual Salary $59,006.69 - $81,134.46

Under the direct supervision of the Director of Community Development, the candidate will perform professional-level work in the field of current or advance planning, affordable housing, neighborhood preservation, or economic development; conduct special studies and research for the Community Development Department; and will prepare reports and recommendations relative to area of assignment.


A bachelor’s degree in urban planning, public administration or related field with major course work in city and/or regional planning, architecture, geography, public administration, business management, landscape architecture, environmental studies or other related field.

Minimum four years of work experience in planning or related field. A Master’s Degree in urban planning, public administration or related field may be substituted for two years of planning or public policy experience. Applicants must possess a valid California driver’s license.
