I am a 31 year old female, and I am looking for a roommate starting 04/09/17! I am a lab manager at Stanford, and in my free time I like to explore the outdoors, spend time with friends, travel, and listen to live music.
During weeknights I am usually home, though sometimes late, and I tend to keep it pretty quiet. I do not have a TV, but I do have internet! I have a medium size (40lbs) black mutt - I think she has border collie and spaniel, and she is the sweetest. I like to cook easy things, and tend to do so several times a week, but I always clean up my mess. There is coin operated laundry machines down the hall.
The apartment is located in East Palo Alto, on the Palo Alto side of HWY 101 - across from Ikea. It is very close to downtown Palo Alto, and about 3 miles from Stanford, which is an easy bike ride away. There is also a free shuttle and several bus stops nearby, and 2 Cal train stations not far either.
You would have your own bedroom and bathroom, and access to the living room, a small patio, and kitchen. It is a cozy apartment with a surprising amount of space. The room is unfurnished, and has a large closet. Unfortunately, parking is on the street only, so this situation would be ideal for someone who doesn't drive, or drive often. If you have a pet, I am certainly happy to consider her/him! It would cost an extra 30$/month though, per apartment rules.
Rent is only $1187, and the apartment is available on 04/09. I am looking for someone to move in that day. I will be leaving on the 8th or 9th of May, at which time you will either need to also move out, or find another roommate to replace me and stay longer (as long as you want). We will need to decide this ahead of time! The reason for this short time period, is that I am moving across the country in May, and my current roommate is moving to her new spot at the beginning of April, so I need a roomie for my last month.
Please see the attached pictures of the space, and if you are interested, please be in touch with a little information about you, any questions you may have, and what dates you would want to move in/out, or whether you would want to stay longer. If it seems like a good fit I will be in touch to set up a showing! FYI, if you are interested, the apartment complex is requiring you to submit an application with a fee of around $46.50.
Thanks everyone,
Meghan
