THE PEOPLE HERE ARE GREAT! Here is why. There is a magical quality that happens when a group of temporary Visiting Scholars live under the same roof. Most are here from two to four months, and are from overseas or Americans somewhere from outside of California. What is gained here is that they have other Visiting Scholars to explore the area: i.e. Yosemite, the wine country, the beautiful coastline, San Francisco...you name it. They often share the cost of renting a car for their exploring. Also, they will share in house BBQs, playing the board game "Settlers of Catan" or just sun bathing in the yard listening to the birds. The list of things people have done here TOGETHER, is very long. If you want just be by your self, that works also. Either way, most people that have been here, have enjoyed very much this unique living arrangement.

THE HOUSE: In a beautiful 5 bedroom home, lush with lots of trees and fauna in a quiet peaceful neighborhood. We are two miles away from the edge of Stanford and University Avenue. Down the street in Mid Town, an easy bike ride, there are grocery stores, coffee shops, pharmacies and good places to eat. We have easy parking here.

*Bicycle helmets, locks and lights are included with the bike.

The room is furnished with a Queen size bed, also desk and chair for working. You have use of the kitchen, washer and dryer and also very fast Fiber Optic Internet Access and two shared bathrooms down the hall. Towels, bed linen and blankets are provided. There is no TV hook up, so it is quiet here if you really need your sleep. This is a nice sanctuary from the busyness of the world.

A $250 deposit is required plus the first month's rent, to reserve the room. There is no smoking on the premise. Please email what dates you need, to check for availability.
