Beautiful, large room available ten minutes’ walk from DOWNTOWN BERKELEY BART and a 15 minutes’ walk from UC BERKELEY. Room is in a shared house situated in the idyllic Poet’s Corner available from now- August 31st 2017. $1500 pcm all inc (price negotiably less for single sublettor as opposed to couple).

Our 2 housemates are lovely and pretty quiet. Perfect for students, couples, writers, summer school attendees and anyone needing a beautiful place to stay this summer. LGBTQA+ friendly.

The room features a brand new, memory foam mattress from Tuft & Needle as part of a very cosy and grand antique sleigh bed (queen size). We have lots of lovely books of various genres and topics, ranging from French philosophy and fiction to art history that you are welcome to use. The room will also include a desk.

The kitchen is newly (and tastefully) renovated. Our living room has gorgeous Victorian features, wood panelled walls and window seats. Washer/ Dryer included. Our one bathroom is shared, but well ventilated and including a deep tub (great for bath lovers). The floors throughout the house are dark wood, recently resurfaced.

There is also a large back garden in equal measure serene and magical, featuring two families of squirrels, a female opossum and an array of birds. We have two 3 ft deep ponds that host a vibrant fish population. This garden is perfect for drinking coffee, reading, writing or just sitting and being in nature.

Close to lovely cafes, cool bars and shops including Trader Joe’s and Safeway. We are also close to the much-loved independent cinema & film archive BAMPFA.

We are graduate students travelling to Europe this summer for work and family and would like subletter(s) who enjoy the house as much as we do.
