The Department of Psychiatry at Stanford University is recruiting 20 to 21-years-old females with no sleep problems and no prior psychiatric diagnoses, along with one biological parent, to participate in a paid research study on sleep and mood.
The study has three parts:
(1) One visit by the youth and parent to our lab where both complete interviews and questionnaires.
(2) Two nights in which the youth completes a sleep assessment at home. Trained members of our team will set up a device that measures sleep in your home, then leave. We pick up the device the following morning.
(3) Three weeks in which the youth completes a brief daily diary (under 15 min per day) and wears a special wristwatch.
We compensate $215 for completing the study.
To be eligible for this study:
** Youth must be female between the ages of 20 and 21
** Parent must be willing to participate in the interviews and questionnaires
** Youth must be U.S. citizen or hold a Green Card (for payment)
** Youth/parent must have English fluency
For more information about this study, please contact us at or (650) 736-2689. For general information about participant rights, contact 1-866-680-2906.
We look forward to hearing from you!
