Hi folks! We have a large, furnished room to sublet from late April/May 1st to August 31st. Shared bathroom with one other person. There is tons of common space, including a huge backyard (with orange trees!), grill, hammock, piano, comfy couches, a well equipped kitchen, and lots of natural light.

Our house culture is laid-back and communal, and grounded in a mutual sense of respect and responsibility for each other, each other’s space, and the house. We value direct communication and sense of community, as well as kindness and consideration in looking out for each other. A generosity of spirit as well as flexibility and openness permeates much of how we live together. We value a balance of independence and sociality, as well as sharing different perspectives as we come from different fields and interests. Thus far we’ve shared semi-regular house dinners and very much enjoy each other’s company but also value independence and are largely doing our own thing.

We are currently three female graduate students and two young professionals in our mid-twenties to early thirties with interests including tea (we have an impressive shared collection), hiking, vegetarian cooking, piano, guitar, travel, running, partner dancing, wine, and joking around.

The house is conveniently located in a quiet neighborhood adjacent to a park, an easy bike ride away from Stanford’s campus (15 min) and to Castro street in downtown Mountain View (15 min), and close to grocery stores and restaurants. We have bike parking, as well as a lot of street parking.

We’re looking for a student or professional who is looking for a summer sublet, and would enjoy the ample space in our house! An idea subletter is a non-smoker, female, clean, respectful, open-minded, queer-friendly, and dog-friendly (we have 2).

Rent is $1075/month, exclusive of utilities and internet. A security deposit is required.

Sublet can start as early as April 16th. Potential to join lease through August 2019.
