We are subletting our fully furnished 2 bedroom townhouse apartment in Escondido Village on the Stanford campus, a short 5 minute bike ride from the Main Quad and 10 minutes to the nearest grocery store (Trader Joe’s) and restaurants (Town and Country Village). It’s also walking distance from California Ave., which has some great restaurants and café‘s, as well a farmers market every Sunday morning. The apartment is on two stories with a cozy patio that opens to a large gated park-like pet-free common area with two playgrounds. The apartment is ideal for families with 1-2 children or childless couples.

The apartment is available from November 9. 2018 to January 3, 2018. The rent is $2300/mo (prorated) with all utilities and furnishings included. We will also need a security deposit of $400, which you will get back as soon as you move out, granted that everything is in good condition. There are plenty of parking spaces outside (ES permit), often directly in front of the main entrance.

You walk into a hallway, with the stairs on your immediate left, as well as a large walk-in closet. Right past the closet you have a comfortable living room with a lounge chair, sofa tables, shelves and a nice 40“ smart TV. Next to the living room you have a dining table and a large kitchen with a fully sized oven, fridge, dishwasher and all dinnerware and cookware available to you. On the other side of the dining table you have a sliding door to an enclosed patio that catches the morning sun and is ideal for a Sunday brunch after a visit to the farmers market. The patio has a BBQ, exercise bike and cute furniture with a view over a large gated common area with two playgrounds. The community around the gated area is all Stanford affiliated families with kids and is incredibly warm and welcoming, with regular gatherings for various occasions.

On the second floor you have a large walk-in closet as you walk up and a bathroom with a shower/tub at the end of a short hallway. On the left hand side there are two bedrooms, a master bedroom with a queen size bed, dresser, a changing table and a crib, as well as a tall closet built into the wall. The second bedroom is furnished as an office, with a twin sized bed, two dressers, a tall closet and a desk with a universal docking station, a large monitor and a view over the shared park. The apartment is spacious, bright and fantastically located for anyone that is looking for accommodation for the last few months of the year.

Other amenities include Stanford wi-fi and in a separate building there is access to a laundry room (with 10 washers and 10 dryers), game room (with a pool table and large TV with cable) and a computer cluster. If you want, you can rent our bikes as well, we have one male and one female model.
