The Miro Health Study is a research project aimed at testing an iPad App called Miro that measures neurological functioning. We are looking for the following individuals to participate:
-- Healthy adults ages 18-25 or 64-85
-- No history of neurological or psychiatric conditions (past resolved history of anxiety/depression is OK)
-- English as a first language
-- Completed high school
You'll be asked to do the following:
-- Complete a short pre-screening questionnaire to see if you meet inclusion criteria for participating (this takes about 5 minutes)
-- Read and sign an Informed Consent Form that describes the details of the study
-- Complete some screening questionnaires about your health including neurological and psychiatric history to confirm eligibility
-- Show us your government-issued photo ID over video chat to confirm you're who you say you are
-- Perform a cognitive assessment called the Telephone Interview for Cognitive Status (TICS) over the phone or video chat (this takes about 10 minutes)
-- Play some games in the Miro App on your iPad (this takes about 1 hour and 15 minutes). If you meet all eligibility requirements, we will ask you to play the games 3 times over the course of 3 weeks.
As compensation, we will pay you up to $160 in Amazon gift cards for completing all parts of the study. ($40 after Session 1, $40 after Session 2, and $80 after Session 3. Note that you may not meet eligibility requirements to complete all sessions).
Sound good? To get started with Step 1, click the link below to complete a short pre-screening questionnaire.
After reviewing your responses, we will be in touch with next steps if you seem like a good fit for our study.
Thanks!
