Seeking a roommate for a large and beautiful Los Altos Apartment (1021 sq ft.)! The apartment is on the third floor and will be newly renovated with hardwood floors and carpet (unfurnished). The space has central heating and air conditioning, a covered balcony, large closet space, and is conveniently located across from a great plaza (Trader Joes, Rite Aide, coffeeshops, and more). There is a community laundry room and elevator in the building and a pool/jacuzzi in the complex (currently under renovation).

I am a 26 year old recent law school graduate relocating to the area from Miami, Florida. I will be working at Stanford’s CodeX Center for Legal Informatics as a Fellow. I am a relatively social person who enjoys working out, outdoor activities, and creating music. My ideal roommate would be mid 20’s-30’s, young professional who is social, clean, and easy going. Please note no pets and this is a no-smoking unit.

I have already applied, been approved, and paid a $2500 security deposit on the whole unit. If we move forward you will be required to also apply to the apartment complex ($40 application fee) and be approved by them (must make 2.5 times the rent or supply a guarantor). Your name will also be on the lease. The rent for the entire unit is $3195 per month which we will split evenly at $1,597.50 each. Since I paid for the security deposit, I will ask you to provide half which we will place in escrow that will be released at the end of our lease term provided no damage to the apartment. This means to move in I will ask you to: 1) apply and be approved by the complex; 2) provide half the security deposit/fees ($1225); 3) provide first month’s rent (you can pay directly to the apartment complex I just need proof of payment); and 4) potentially sign a rental agreement between the two of us.
