The Eric Gross laboratory at Stanford University is looking for an energetic and talented undergraduate student for the summer. The position includes a stipend ($7,500) for the 10 week summer quarter and the opportunity to continue a research project for an honors thesis. Many of the Eric Gross lab members who are undergraduates have been successful in transitioning to medical or graduate school after working in the laboratory.
Our research focus though NIH-funded research is on studying proteins important for alcohol metabolism (ALDH2) and the response to hot sauce (TRPV1). Projects in the lab are presently on e-cigarettes, opioid addiction and alcohol flushing.
Project can be basic biology, protein chemistry, mass spec, or physiology oriented and tailored to student interest. Contact Eric (firstname.lastname@example.org) if interested.
