I'm currently in Canada and won't be able to return to California as planned due to the outbreak. To be able to pay for housing here, I'm subletting my room, it's a separate room in a house where you share the bathroom with another girl (a Stanford graduate student). You'll share the kitchen with the girl and another housemate. Since I left my room not expecting to start subletting it, my things are set up in their regular arrangement, but we can discuss how to rearrange things for you to use the room. It comes fully furnished, and as an extra perk, you can use the extra bike that I have in the backyard (for free). The backyard is spacious and nice, an outdoor escape under the shelter in place order, a nice place for eating or doing exercise.
The rent is $1,100 per month (negotiable). We also have to pay for utilities, but given the slightly messy condition of the room, I'm offering to cover the utilities for April myself (up to $150), and if you need the place earlier, you can come and stay there a few days before April 1 without extra charge. Move out date could be flexible. I haven't made plans for May yet, but I might stay here, in which case there might be a possibility for extension. The sublet is official, the landlord is aware. Security deposit TBD.
